Made of a new lightweight material Larry is now 27.376% lighter.
He is smoother and sleeker.
His turnbuckles have been relocated, eliminating a source for thread snags.
Larry works flat or standing up. He tilts, moves up and down, hangs over the edge of the table, does the Texas two step, folds up for travel or storage with work still in progress, and lots of other good things.
BUT, you say what happened to Larry the Loom Mark IV, Larry Mark II, and poor Timmy, and Bruce and Fred? Dead as yesterday's news, gone, beloved but outdated. So, boys and girls, be the first on your block to have the best in Looms. Although Larry the Loom Version 5.1 is only 8 inches wide by 24 inches long he will do the work of a loom twice his size. It is possible to loom pieces from 8" wide up to 48" long. Easy to use, easy to understand! Lighter than the old Larry, so easier to carry. Larry is suitable for all loomers, beginners and experts alike. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE BEST LOOM ON THE MARKET TODAY. When I started making Larry the Loom Mark IV I enlisted Bert Zimmerman to build the looms. He was assisted by his wife Stella who sewed the cases. Bert had to give up building the looms on his 87th birthday. Nowadays he is taking it easy. Stella is still sewing the covers. Loom building has been taken over by my son Paul who is also a machinist and a skilled woodworker. He is assisted by his lovely wife Mary. LOOMS & ACCESSORIES |
